This compilation consists of two songs from five up-and-coming Italian bands. The bands are arranged alphabetically, thus showing no favouritism between a rather diverse mix.
AGABUS open the album with two plodding and directionless metalcore songs, not saved by the full gamut of 'core vocal histrionics.
ANTAGONISM provides a brief atmospheric intro as an aperitif for a main course primarily composed of lurching Celtic Frost rhythms and are easily the best band on the compilation.
CLINICAMENTE MORTI continue with rawer numbers located somewhere between primitive death and um, primitive thrash.
NECROFILI ventures into more melodic territory, with some snarling vocals that don't quite match the upbeat rhythms. Then again, neither does the exhausted "necro" prefix.
RESURRECTURIS end the album with two brief songs that borrow heavily from both hardcore and grind; "The Origin" is one of the better numbers on the album.
I'm unsure why participating bands are limited to two shortish songs, as most compilations are usually in excess of 70 minutes, using up as much available space as possible: _Extreme Metal Inside_ barely stumbles past the thirty minute mark! Surely additional songs from the bands featured, or other underground Italian metal bands, could have been included? Although the brevity renders an accurate assessment of each band's abilities and potential problematic, it does not appear as if there are any rough diamonds lurking here.
