As implied by the unwieldy and (deliberately?) broken title, this is a compilation of projects from the two musically marginalized states. Marginalized in most respects, as both have a strong post-industrial scene located at the harsher end of the spectrum. Merzbow-style noise is not present here, and all the songs possess some vestigial rhythms, even if melody and harmony have not been so lucky. All tracks are located within the power electronics arena, but several incorporate elements from post-Abruptum black metal and "extreme doom", most notably Ryokuchi, who provides a convenient entrance for those not accustomed to harsh electronica. All the tracks are exclusive to this compilation, and surprisingly varied, ranging from the noise-inflected doom of the aforementioned Ryokuchi, through to the rhythmic industrial of MOENYI$GOD and the extended guitar drone of Nerveless, to mention but a few. Overall, this compilation provides a healthy and varied cross selection of power electronica artists from Nippon and the Holy Land.
