Tribe of Circle - _Children of a Weakened God_
(Hau Ruck! / Tesco, 2006)
by: Nikola Shahpazov (6 out of 10)
Tribe of Circle is yet another one-man project exploring the combination of underground noise and neoclassical bombast. While definitely of an industrial breed, _Children of a Weakened God_ displays numerous facets and manages to avoid easy pigeonholing. While it starts with a dense ambient atmosphere and prolonged muffled noise passages, at times the music turns into a real martial monster, with thunderous percussions and obligatory orchestral samples. Der Blutharsch is an obvious (and possibly main) influence; In Slaughter Natives and Shinjuku Thief also come to mind, especially in the more powerful, sample-driven tracks. Unsurprisingly, the dominating mood is rather ominous and dark, making _Children of a Weakened God_ a rather unlikely choice for your Saturday party.

Compared to the big guns of the genre, Tribe of Circle certainly prove to be worthy followers, yet not exactly innovators -– thus these tracks would be a nice treat for any Der Blutharsch devotee, but hardly anything new or exciting.
