This demo, which is available free of charge for download in 44 kHz, 128 kb/s MP3 format, consists of some powerful, dynamic and catchy death metal from the USA. The songs are usually quite effective, as well as very competently performed and produced. "Ascension" and "Adrenaline Slip" are both among the most enjoyable demo-stage death metal I've heard in quite a while, although they do lack the dark atmosphere of bands like Incantation. Platform Black have a different purpose in mind for their music, and they deliver their mixture of aggression and catchiness very well. The other three tracks are not as great as the aforementioned two, but are nevertheless quite good and entertaining. Just one final remark: the two minute long silence in the end of "Distance" implies approximately two more megabytes to download for nothing, which is hardly a great idea.
