Refuse to Die - _Collection of Agnostic Flies_
(The Eastern Front, 2008)
by: Quentin Kalis (5 out of 10)
Refuse to Die belong to the industrial school that tosses everything, including the proverbial kitchen sink, into the mix, providing what can be aptly described as the "sound collage" approach. The expected flaw does result in a lack of coherence, even for a compilation album (with songs from their previous four records) such as this, where martial supremacy sits alongside demented cabaret and even a Frank Zappa cover. Not all songs are of equal quality, and I will return to songs such as the carnival-esque "Aufwiderzein" or the martial "White Power" in future, but it is highly unlikely I will listen to the entire album again.
