Hell United - _HornoKracy_
(Lilith Productions, 2008)
by: Chaim Drishner (6.5 out of 10)
The slow(er) parts of this slab of fiendish black/death metal are rather quite engaging and powerful. Which brings us all to question the sacrifice bands do in the name of the Moloch of speed, or into that, of blast beats, which are abundant throughout this release; a release which could have otherwise been quite stupendous.

Hell United portray the very best of Polish dark blackened death metal a la Behemoth (and to some extent also Vader) and the likes, which makes them sound a tad derivative with their blasting-fest... until the band abandon all speed and focus on actual song structures, delivery and atmosphere -- which, in this case, could only happen when playing slow. Only then do the band shine, showcasing their ability to produce something worthy in terms of musical agenda, uniqueness and genuine will-to-power through music. That being said, the blast beat parts are simply disheartening, and make what could have been a great black/death perfect amalgamation sound like something we've all heard countless times before.
