Tourniquet - _Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm_
(Metal Blade, 2000)
by: Adrian Bromley (2 out of 10)
Some might look at this review and think I gave this Christian band a low rating just for the hell of it. Am I right? Well, that is not the case. I could care less what God this band worships or what ideals they follow. I could give two shits about lyrics telling me why I am going to Hell, blah, blah, blah! I just think the music sucks, plain and simple. With a really boring groove permeating throughout, Tourniquet follow the same blueprint of ideas that so many bands (better bands at that) have done. There is nothing to it and it just seems like another reason for some hot-headed asshole to mouth off about religion. With song titles like "Erratic Palpitations of the Human Spirit", "Martyr's Pose" and "Immunity Vector", I easily grew tired of what Tourniquet was pumping into my ears long before the disc came to a close. Thank God it came to an end.
