Queens of the Stone Age - _Queens of the Stone Age_
(Loosegroove, 1998)

Attention all Kyuss fans -- the crew is back in action. Well, sort of. Josh Homme from Kyuss has regrouped and released this self-titled effort, a collection of fuzzy guitar work that may just satisfy that Kyuss jonesing. Be warned that Queens is a bit more song oriented, structured, and not replete with jamming. There's also this hispanic thing going on in the liners and song titles that I can't figure out, which I'm pretty sure wasn't part of Kyuss. Regardless, for some solid rockin', give a listen to "Regular John", "If Only", and "How to Handle a Rope". Or for a more trippy experience, spin "You Would Know" or "You Can't Quit Me Baby".
