Curimus - _Under My Skin_
by: Chaim Drishner (3.5 out of 5)
A short demo (a tad longer than 17 minutes) that could have been easily overlooked and ditched by this reviewer. On initial listen, the very few seconds delude you with their metalcore etiquette; further on, the music gives you a sense of familiarity; further into exploring the music it hits you: this is a lighter version of Benediction in their finest moments! No metalcore here, just some bad-ass thrash/death reeking of the past but also flirting with modernism to some extent. While the vocalist has a peculiar resemblance in tone, intonation and execution to either Dave Ingram or Dave Hunt (which one, I haven't quite decided, although I'd go with the latter, as he is the lighter version of Benediction's vocals, hence more fit to the description). Anyone who has greatly appreciated Benediction's _Organised Chaos_ album, as have I, would not find better 17 minutes to spend his time consuming some raw, blistering and enjoyable metal (albeit somewhat derivative, to tell the truth).
